About Artists With Altitude
Artists With Altitude was launched in January of 2005 by
Marjie Eakin-Petty. Marjie had a vision of inviting all of her artist and art loving friends to her
home for an evening of inspiration and sharing. Everyone had such a great time
that we decided it would be fun to meet again. Before too long, many of us found
that as a result of that first meeting, we were taking classes together,
participating in shows and taking field trips as well as meeting on a regular
basis. By the end of 2006, we decided to give ourselves the name "Artists With Altitude" and
formed our web site.
Since that first meeting in 2005, Artists With Altitude
has continued to grow and change. We currently number 14 members who work in a
variety of mediums. We participate in shows on an individual basis and also
participate in group shows.
